Air-Cooled vs. Water-Cooled HVAC System Difference

The expected expenses over these systems can go higher than air-cooled HVAC systems, but they are guaranteed to provide a much more stable supply of cool air since they do not rely on the ambient temperatures.

Apart from the cooling tower, other components that can be found on water-cooled HVAC systems are condenser water pumps, make-up water pumps, and chillers. All these components work together to make water-cooled HVAC systems become more efficient and last longer than their alternative. These systems are also cheaper to install compared to air-cooled HVAC systems.

One drawback, alternatively, of these systems is that they have constant expenses when it comes to the mandatory treatment of water and other components. Their operations can also cost a lot more expensive since they need to utilise constant water and energy supply.
